Elementary math – is it challenging your child?
February 11, 2009
In the past few months, I’ve heard from several parents with elementary school children who need acceleration in math. They have been frustrated in their efforts to find a satisfactory solution.
How about you? If you have an elementary school student in CISD…
- Does he or she need enrichment / differentiation / acceleration in math in order to be challenged and learn something new?
- What is your school doing to meet those needs?
- Are you satisfied that what is being done actually does challenge your student?
- Have you met with anyone above the level of principal about this issue?
- Would you want CGA to coordinate a meeting with other parents grappling with this issue?
