Volunteers needed at CHS

April 25, 2009
by

CHS has again asked CGA to recruit people to help proctor the Advanced Placement exams, which our gifted high school kids will take. By volunteering on a weekday morning or afternoon, you can:

  • Learn what it is/will be like for your kids to take an AP exam.
  • Demonstrate CGA parents’ support for our schools.
  • Save CHS the expense of hiring substitute teachers to proctor the tests.

What does an assistant proctor do?

  • Help distribute and collect tests,
  • Quietly watch the kids to deter cheating and
  • Monitor bathroom breaks.

It’s easy. (Sorry, but you can’t proctor your own child’s test.)

We’re looking for volunteers to fill 28 morning and 4 afternoon shifts spread over 10 days: May 4th through 8th and May 11th through 15th. Shifts are generally from 8:00 to 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

To volunteer, contact CGA’s campus rep for CHS, Janet Briel, at CHS.coppellgifted@gmail.com.
