Volunteers needed at CHS
CHS has again asked CGA to recruit people to help proctor the Advanced Placement exams, which our gifted high school kids will take. By volunteering on a weekday morning or afternoon, you can:
- Learn what it is/will be like for your kids to take an AP exam.
- Demonstrate CGA parents’ support for our schools.
- Save CHS the expense of hiring substitute teachers to proctor the tests.
What does an assistant proctor do?
- Help distribute and collect tests,
- Quietly watch the kids to deter cheating and
- Monitor bathroom breaks.
It’s easy. (Sorry, but you can’t proctor your own child’s test.)
We’re looking for volunteers to fill 28 morning and 4 afternoon shifts spread over 10 days: May 4th through 8th and May 11th through 15th. Shifts are generally from 8:00 to 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
To volunteer, contact CGA’s campus rep for CHS, Janet Briel, at CHS.coppellgifted@gmail.com.
