Webinar: The College Application

The Learning Strategies Center is offering a webinar to help students who are applying to college in the fall. Students can participate in the webinar from their own computer, and they can access a recorded version if they can’t make the live session. Early registration discount until July 12, 2010.

The program, “Creating a Great College Application,” will cover how to write a great essay, how to create a compelling resume describing honors and activities, how to strengthen an application with great recommendations, the most effective techniques for improving SAT scores, how to shine in college and scholarship interviews, how to find the right college, and more.

The presenter is Susan Goodkin. She is a graduate of Harvard University, Harvard Law School, and Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. In addition to college consulting, Susan writes and speaks nationally on education issues including college admissions. Her articles have appeared in newspapers including The Washington Post, The Miami Herald, The Philadelphia Enquirer, The Sacramento Bee and The Houston Chronicle.
