Conference of Differentiated Learning
Before talking too long to anyone in the gifted community, you start hearing the term differentiation tossed around. The idea is that a classroom teacher can effectively differentiate instruction so that everyone in the classroom (including, but not limited to gifted kids) can get what they need in a mixed-level classroom. Are you interested in finding out more about how this magic occurs? The Association for the Gifted, Council for Exceptional Children at Baylor University is holding a 2 day conference on Differentiated Learning, Sept. 24-25, 2010.
The event on Friday is free (with registration) and includes a keynote address by Dr. Tracy Cross and a panel discussion with Dr. Susan Johnsen and Dr. Julia Roberts on “Developing Partnerships with Schools”
The Saturday event costs merely $100 and includes presentations from Dr. Diane Montgomery, Dr. Del Siegle, and our very own Todd Kettler.
