“The Discussion” Resumes on October 13th

From today’s Supt’s Scoop:

We will begin the 2010-2011 series of hour-long, monthly public forums “The Discussion,” on Wednesday, October 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the Coppell High School Lecture Hall.  Parking is again available on the home side of the football stadium at CHS where free shuttle transportation will start at 12:15 p.m.  These forums will provide the school community an opportunity to talk about issues of importance to them, hear the latest educational trends and best practices, and create a dialogue about district initiatives.  Each session will be videotaped and posted to the CISD website within 48 hours.

The first “brown bag” lunch session entitled, “Future Ready Students” will address the many ways in which CISD is on the leading edge of preparing students for their future as well as what we are doing now (and will be doing in the future) to ensure their continued success.  This session will lay the groundwork for future topics, and I hope you will find the time to join me in “The Discussion.”
