Lone Star Leadership Academy – Experiential learning travel programs for outstanding Texas students

Lone Star Leadership Academy programs are Monday-Friday experiential learning leadership development programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth (4th-6th
graders), Austin (5th-7th graders), and Houston/Galveston (6th-8th graders) areas.

Participants experience curriculum taught in Texas classrooms through visits to historically, politically, scientifically and environmentally significant sites. Texas teachers facilitate programs including leadership groups where students participate in simulations and leadership activities. In addition, career speakers introduce participants to a wide variety of unique career opportunities. In order to qualify for the program, students must maintain an 85 or higher average and receive an educator recommendation based on demonstrated leadership ability.

Students that apply for 2011 spring break and summer programs by December 31, 2010 receive a $20 fall discount off the program fee.
