Ann Carlsson TAGT Conference Experience

February 28, 2011

It was wonderful to be able to attend the TAGT conference in Ft. Worth this past November.  I attended sessions on differentiating instruction, needs of the gifted learner, and many more.   As a teacher of mixed-groups at the elementary level, I was especially taken with the simple ways to differentiate and simultaneously check for understanding such as the Ticket Out, A-Ha journal, content area word ladders, etc.  Since attending, I have found these to be very easy ways to adapt instruction to multiple levels while keeping close tabs on who really understands the concepts we’ve been working on.

Thank you, CGA, for the scholarship that allowed me to attend this interesting and useful conference.
