Brenda Caproni TAGT Experience

March 1, 2011

Thank you for making it possible for me to attend the TAGT conference this year!  It is always a very beneficial experience, and this year was no exception.  I attended a session called “How to Use Glogster in the Classroom” where we learned how to set up our student accounts and how to make a glog. There were many examples of projects that could be created across the curriculum. Since then my students  each created  a glog using  the research we did in class. I also attended Nathan Levy’s presentation on “Improving Writing and Critical Thinking”–he had some very practical ideas for classroom management, and I purchased several of his books-Stories with Holes which my students absolutely love!  My favorite presentation was by Jim Delisle–“Ten Best Lessons EVER for Teaching Reluctant Writers”.  The information was so practical, and I was able to go back to my classroom and implement the ideas immediately!
