FREE online academic enrichment

May 4, 2011

Check out the January edition of the Talent Igniter where it lists the following (and more) free enrichment websites for kids of all ages. Click here to go directly to the on-line newsletter, or you can click any of the suggestions below.

Shakespeare for Kids

Library of Congress: Read.gov

Math and Science videos through Khan Academy (everything from algebra, to physics, finance, and history)

hippocampus.org designed for high school and college age kids (but also appropriate for really bright younger students — or parents who want to understand math, science, psychology, religion and history as well as their kids).

Homeschool Diner’s Guide  offers a free listing of online games and activities for math, science, visual arts, music, social studies, language arts and creative writing.

These last 2 listings were in the latest Educational Options newsletter.  This newsletter offers great information from Deborah Ruf, a nationally recognized expert on the levels of giftedness, and is worth the subscription (it is free… so just takes less than a minute to get on the list).
