This presentation is for adults, yet there is a chess tournament alongside held for students in grades K-12.
Second Koltanowski International Conference on Chess and Education

On November 18-19, 2011, thousands of children, parents, and chess coaches will arrive in Dallas for the National K-12. While children play their rounds, anyone interested in chess and education may attend the Second Koltanowski International Conference on Chess and Education (nicknamed the Kolty conference) on Friday and Saturday. The National K-12 and the Kolty conference will be at the Hilton Anatole. Conference participants may choose from over 25 presentations and will receive free books.
Cost: $50 for one day, $100 for both days
The Second Koltanowski International Conference on Chess and Education offers six clock hours toward the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) Awareness Certificate. Presenters include Dr, Joseph Eberhard, the 2002 Statewide TAGT Teacher of the Year and Dr. Alexey Root, author of Children and Chess: A Guide for Educators.
