The Coppell Independent School District will host an Education Symposium seeking
community input on various topics that will impact and guide the future of our school
district.
The Symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Coppell High
School, 185 W. Parkway Blvd., from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. During the course of the evening,
community members will participate in the following breakout sessions: Communication,
Budget/School Funding, Facilities & Enrollment, Schools of the Future and Technology.
The evening will begin with a whole group presentation regarding a district update
highlighting key topics in CISD. Following this presentation, participants will be assigned a
specific focus group facilitated by CISD staff members where input will be sought regarding
several key topics. Staff will prepare background information for the topics and develop a
supplemental packet to be distributed to Symposium attendees.
Community members are invited to participate in the Education Symposium, but space is
limited. Please RSVP by 5 p.m., Friday, October 14, by calling the CISD Administration
Building at 214-496-6000 and reserving a spot. It is important to RSVP to assist in the space
planning needed for the event and if you have a break-out session preference, then please
make your request when you RSVP.
