Lone Star Leadership Academy – Experiential learning travel programs for outstanding students

Lone Star Leadership Academy programs are Sunday-Friday experiential learning leadership development programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth (4th-6th graders), Austin/San Antonio (5th-7th graders), and Houston/Galveston (6th-8th graders) areas. Participants develop leadership skills and experience curriculum taught in classrooms through visits to historically, politically, scientifically and environmentally significant sites. Texas educators facilitate programs including leadership groups where students participate in simulations and leadership activities. In addition, career speakers introduce participants to a wide variety of unique career opportunities. In order to qualify for the program, students must maintain an 85 or higher average and receive an educator recommendation based on demonstrated leadership ability.

Students that apply for 2012 spring break and summer programs by December 31, 2011 receive a discount.

Spring Break Program Deadlines: January 21, 2012 (early bird) and February 18, 2012.

Summer Program Deadlines: April 14, 2012 (early bird) and May 12, 2012.
