Marimba Camp: develop passion for music

April 18, 2013

My children love music.  From the time they could beat out a song on pots with a wooden spoon, we have been looking for an outlet for their creative, musical interests.  They have resisted traditional music avenues like piano.  My boys absolutely love the Zimma Rimba classes and have performed at events around the metroplex, even at the Meyerson.  Perhaps the best indication of their passion for Zimma Rimba is that they practice every day — without nagging or reminding — completely on their own initiative.  Jeremy Phillips has a unique way of teaching that develops their skills, captures their imagination, and encourages a love for music.

My boys’ words:

“I get to have fun and be myself.”

“It is fun and you learn a lot of epic songs.”

– Elizabeth Chappell
