Summer Mosaic Spotlight: MOSAIC Natural Disaster Response Course
“Are you the person to save the world from the next natural disaster?!?”
What would you do if everything you knew and everything you had was gone in an instant!? As natural disasters are always looming, it is vital that we are prepared, not only for the event but the aftermath and critical response and ultimately survival!
Step into the world of disaster planning, response and recovery in this week long adventure. Learners will be faced with real life scenarios where they will plan and prepare for a natural disaster event, orchestrate the response and report on the issues, and learn the basic survival steps needed to make it after a natural disaster.
Come experience all that is necessary to survive, recover and rebuild following a natural disaster scenario.
- Build and test your skills in engineering for building stability against Hurricanes or Tornadoes
- Determine what to do first in a crisis
- Learn basic survival skills needed in the event of a power outage, water and air contamination, and resource shortages.
Conducted by Wes Vanicek, NTH@Coppell biotech ethics teacher and 2012 Campus Teacher of the Year. Do not miss out on this new and unique course offering.
