Deana Harrell selected as the new CISD Director of Advanced Academics

Deana Harrell has been selected as the new CISD Director of Advanced Academics.

She has 15 years of teaching and administrative experience, 13 of which she spent in Coppell ISD.  She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, Wilson Principal, CHS Associate Principal, and most recently, the Director of New Tech High.  Ms. Harrell attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where she earned a B.S. in Reading, Biology and Early Childhood Endorsement in 1996 and a Masters of Education in Reading with a Gifted Endorsement in 2000. She also earned a second Masters degree from Texas Woman’s University in Educational Administration in 2006 and, is currently pursuing a Doctorate in the prestigious Cooperative Superintendency Program at the University of Texas at Austin.
