Calling all science enthusiasts! The Coppell Gifted Association is celebrating National Engineers week with two great speakers!

Event is for students in grades 6-12 and parents too!

Want to know about what it takes to be an engineer? Come hear Dr. Kenneth Berry speak about how engineers impact our everyday lives. Dr. Berry will illustrate how critical thinking is integral not only to engineering design, but also necessary for all future innovation.
Carolyn J. Kanelakos – Robonaut 2 Project Engineer, Johnson Space Center, NASA
Ever wondered what’s it’s like to work for NASA? Come hear Carolyn Kanelakos talk about her experiences as a NASA Engineer working on robonaut, R2, a fully dexterous humanoid robot employed at the International Space Station. Ms. Kanelakos will elaborate on the combination of creativity and engineering in creating things that did not previously exist.
