Parents – Join us for an interactive talk with Kathy about math education and how math can be fun! Math education should move beyond standardized tests and rote learning and, instead, develop and nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and the techniques necessary to approach and solve difficult and interesting problems. When students are trained in problem solving, it helps more than their math grade; it helps in all aspects of their lives. Come discover the resources and strategies that will help your child on their educational journey.
Students – While parents attend the discussion, a math class on basic Game Theory, will be taught by Mr. Naoki Sato, former Director of Worldwide Online Olympiad Training. Mr. Sato is an instructor at AwesomeMath, an organization created by Dr. Titu Andreescu, former coach of the U. S. International Mathematics Olympiad team.
