2009-2010 Creative Writing Competition
Open to passionate writers in grades 3rd —12th.
Open to CISD students and students outside CISD
CGA membership required only if student does not attend CISD schools.
Deadline: December 9, 2009 by 12:00pm, noon.
Each entry will be judged based on its artistic expression; however, technical merit will also be a factor. Finalists (evaluated by student grade and category) will be announced February 1, 2010. The winning entries will be published in a book that will be available in the spring. Although graphic novels may be submitted in color, the final book will be printed in black and white. Students need not be identified gifted to participate.

- Don’t forget:
1. Turn in hard copy of your work and cover sheet (or click here for a cover sheet in Word) to your campus contacts. If you do not attend CISD, please contact Elizabeth Chappell directly for submission information.
2. Submit an on-line entry form with all submissions; attach a word document for all entries except graphic novel. The on-line entry form may also be printed and used as the cover sheet for the hard copy. The reason we need the online entry is to help track the judging (the judges will evaluate the hard copies that are turned in), as well as have a digital version to publish in the book of finalists.
