iLead CISD

October 31, 2010

Do you want to know what is going on with CISD — and be able to have your voice heard? Join iLead CISD — another way our schools are encouraging community involvement.

The Coppell Independent School District will be hosting a series of three mini leadership classes that will begin next month. The series, iLead CISD, will start out as 3 mini –sessions/classes growing to several expanded sessions during the 2011-12 school year with the plan to alternate years with the City of Coppell’s existing Adult Leadership Classes. iLead CISD’s four-fold purpose is for interested parents and community members to:

1. gain insight into the operations of the CISD public school system
2. expose committee service opportunities
3. build potential capacity for future Board service
4. create topic bank for future classes

Topics will include:
1st session on 11/10 – Vision and Leadership (from a historical perspective to where CISD is now, then on to the future)
2nd session on 12/1 – Strategic Plans that move the district forward and the vital role of Support Services
3rd session on 1/5 – Community and State Partnerships followed by Wrap-up w/Q & A

  • Classes will be held in the CISD Board Room Vonita White Administration Building/200 South Denton Tap Road/Coppell, TX; 6:30p-8p
  • Sessions to be led by CISD administrators and members of the CISD Board of Trustees
  • Deadline for sign-up is Thursday, 11/4 and seating is limited. RSVP today by emailing Tamerah Ringo/Department of Communications & Public Relations at tringo@coppellisd.com
  • NOTE: There is no charge for these sessions however each prospective leader must be willing to commit to attend for the full 1 ½ hours for each of the 3 sessions.
