TAGT Parent Conference Feb 19, 2011

The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented hosts a day-long conference for parents that will focus on issues and skills relative to parenting gifted children.
•Date: Saturday, February 19, 2011
•Location: Hurst Conference Center, 1601 Campus Drive, Hurst, TX
•Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; registration opens at 7:45 a.m.
•Food: Continental breakfast provided; lunch on your own
•Exhibits: Browse and buy educational materials from a dozen exhibitors
•Registration: Registration is $39; register your spouse/partner for an additional $20.

Keynote Speaker:
Lisa Rivero is a parent, author, and a member of the Board of Directors
of Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG). Her keynote
address, Growing with Intensity, will look at the role intensity plays in
giftedness, so that parents can better help their children with issues
such as perfectionism, stress, and feelings of not fitting in with the rest
of the world.
She will also present two breakout sessions you may choose to attend,
Understanding Gifted Teens and Homeschooling Gifted Children.
