Gifted Matters – October 2014

Welcome to the October 2014 edition of Gifted Matters.    Welcome Fall!    We have lots going on this fall at CGA!

 

CGA Speaker Series:  If you have 6th-12th graders, join us for a session with Carla Crutsinger, a local author, TAGT speaker and Brainworks owner, about “Academic Strategies that Work“.  This session will be held at New Tech High @ Coppell at 6:00 p.m on October 16th.  The session is meant for both parent and child to attend.  This event is free to our members and $5 to non-members.

Creative Writing Workshop:  If you have 3rd – 5th graders who are interested in writing, check out our first Creative Writing Workshop!  This student enrichment event will be held on November 8th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lee Elementary.

CGA Speaker Series:  Have a 1st – 5th grader?  Carla Crutsinger will be presenting “Helping  Gifted Kids Reach Their Potential” on November 13th.  This session will be held at New Tech High @ Coppell at 6:00 p.m.  Event will be free to our members and $5 to non-members.

Book Talk:  Did you know CGA maintains a lending library of books and DVDs on parenting and education, especially in the area of giftedness?  Each month we’ll highlight one of our selections in our “Book Talk” article.
