Meet the Spring 2021 Coppell ISD School Board Candidates

March 26, 2021

Candidate Information:

There are two seats on the Coppell ISD School Board that are up for election in the upcoming election being held on May 1, 2021.

Place 6 has one candidate, Nichole Bentley, running.  This makes this race uncontested.

Place 7 has three candidates who are running for the position.  Tracy Fisher, Sonal Tandale and Sam Wellington are the candidates running for Place 7.

CGA posed several questions to each of  the three candidates running for the contested seat.  The questions were:

  1.  Tell us a little about yourself and why you’ve decided to run for a school board position.
  2. What unique qualities would you bring to the school board?
  3. How have you been involved with Coppell ISD prior to running for school board?
  4. What do you see as the biggest challenges for the district in the next five years?
  5. How important is serving the needs of gifted kids?  Why?
  6. How does Coppell ISD currently serve gifted kids and how does that compare to other districts?

So you can read the complete responses from each candidate in the contested race, we have placed responses received into their own page, and the links are below:
