Summer Book List for Gifted Elementary Girls

Looking for great summer literature for your elementary age daughter that is an accelerated reader??  Thanks to Becky Bouchard, Cottonwood Creek Elementary’s Librarian,  we now have an wonderful list of age appropriate, advanced books which are sensitive to the interstes and needs of our young readers.  For the most part, girls require an intrinsic plot with strong characters, emotional development, and growth of the character, and this list encompasses those requirements.  Mrs. Bouchard developed this phenominal list with the high level, passionate female reader in mind!  You will find that these books are in no particular order so gather your girls and begin the search for exciting new books to enjoy!

    “The Westing Game” and “Jacob Have I Loved” were two of my very favorite books growing up. It’s nice to see that they are time tested and still have a place on a list of great reads after all these years.
